As a part of a global network of Change Management professionals, the ACMP Texas Chapter advances the profession and discipline of Change Management in the great state of Texas.  Our mission is to create a community of people who are passionate about organizational change for networking, knowledge sharing and professional development.

Maria Dozlic, President

Maria has more than 18 years of global experience in various Director, Change Lead, Senior Consultant capacities for Fortune 500 companies within oil & gas, IT and Food & Beverages delivering enterprise wide business change initiatives involving ERP implementations, business and technology process redesign enabling organizations to minimize risk, achieve business priorities and improve competitive advantage. 

As an MBA graduate, management consultant and change leader, Maria has significant experience leading and delivering projects in the UK and US and is currently enjoying the global nature and challenging projects with Expressworks International.  Previously, Maria was with Sysco, a leading food manufacturer and distributor, where she was responsible for leading the change management workstream within organizational effectiveness for an enterprise-wide, multi-year business transformation including an SAP-enabled systems implementation, shared services center, process and organizational design for 70+ companies with 40,000+ employees, 2000+ suppliers and 400,000+ customers.

Maria is also active in a number of charitable organizations including DePelchin Children’s Center and is on the Board as President of the Association of Change Management Professionals (ACMP) Texas chapter. 

Beyond the office, Maria enjoys networking with other passionate change management professionals and spending time in the Texas Hill Country and traveling the Croatian coast with her Eastern European husband, Ned and their adoptive daughters, Crissy and Karla.

Kurt Johnson, Vice President

Kurt Johnson is a co-founder of mBridge Solutions, a consulting firm dedicated to delivering impactful business readiness change management and custom learning development services. In addition to holding a BS of Business Administration, Kurt also holds an MBA from Southern Methodist University and a Masters of Human and Organizational Systems from Fielding Graduate University. 

Kurt is a senior project manager and change manager leading successful teams in organizational change management, learning development, business strategy, operations, marketing and systems development. He has had the good fortune to work with clients across several industries including oil and gas, financial services, retail, manufacturing, government and telecommunications.

As a business readiness change leader, Kurt brings a diverse background and perspective to his work. He draws from his experiences as a senior consulting manager, Chief Operating Officer, VP of marketing and regional sales leader to provide a broad, system perspective geared towards helping clients achieve business readiness and attainment of business goals through  change management and learning.


Paul Burton, Director, Chapter Operations

Paul Burton currently serves as an Organizational Change Architect with TEK Systems, and has prior Organizational Change experience with Deloitte Consulting, Computer Sciences Corporation (CSC) and Raytheon Company.  As an Organizational Change Consultant he has extensive expertise within Communications Management, Stakeholder Management, Change Readiness and Impact Assessments for major ERP IT implementations including Oracle, SAP, and custom Finance applications. As a Training Manager, he has led projects within training development, strategy, assessments, curriculum design, course administration and evaluation (Kirkpatrick model).  As a Project Manager, he led development of a Project Management Office (PMO) for an Information Technology division of a major Engineering corporation.  He has managed multiple IT projects for clients within IT, Human Resources, Sales and Engineering.  He holds certifications in Project Management (PMP), Organizational Change Management (CSC Catalyst methodology) and Six Sigma (Black Belt).  He holds an M.B.A. in Human Resource Management and a Ph.D. in Applied Technology and Performance Improvement, with publications regarding communications and social networking.

Wendy Hallmark, Director, Sponsorship and Treasury

Wendy Hallmark is a Senior Director at Alvarez & Marsal Business Consulting’s Human Capital and Organizational Change practice. She specializes in transformational change initiatives, with a proven track record of helping organizations improve performance. With over 20 years of consulting and industry experience, Ms. Hallmark has applied a structured approach to managing the people side of change in a variety of industries including energy, waste management, engineering/construction, food service, retail and financial services. Prior to joining Alvarez & Marsal, Ms. Hallmark held a variety of management positions with Chevron, Sysco Corporation, McKinsey & Company and GE Capital, focusing on organizational effectiveness and change.

Ms. Hallmark earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from The University of Texas at Austin in Marketing and an MBA from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management, Northwestern University in Management Strategy, Marketing and International Business. She is a PROSCI Certified Instructor in Change Management methodology.


Tonia Whitney, Director, Events

Tonia Whitney is a dynamic, results-driven management and communication consultant with over fifteen years of Big 5 and independent consulting experience in the implementation of organizational change management, communication and training strategy, business process improvement, and IT solutions. As the owner and managing director of
Engaging for Change, Inc., she has spent the past decade providing organizational change management services to a major oil and gas client in the Houston area.

Tonia is skilled in stakeholder engagement, communication planning and execution, training delivery and preparation, and meeting facilitation. She is known as an innovative thinker able to balance between analytical and intuitive solutions to provide the necessary problem solving skills, direction and coaching necessary to move people, teams and organizations through transformation.

Ms. Whitney received her B.A. from Centre College, an MBA from Texas A&M University and is certified
in Prosci’s Change Management methodology.


Joe Ranzau, Director, Communications

Joe Ranzau is a consulting leader, with a focus on practice operations and delivering integrated change management solutions, for clients experiencing significant change. He is frequently called upon to bridge the gap between technology and the human side of client operations. Having led diverse project teams, he is equally comfortable managing strategy for multiple projects or serving as a trusted partner and tactical resource to key government, financial services and insurance clients.

Joe hold a Bachelors of Business Administration degree from the University of the Incarnate Word.  He is a founding recipient of the ACMP Certified Change Manager Practicioner designation and is certified in Prosci’s Change Management methodology.



Kelly Baughman, Director, Marketing

Kelly is a Principal with Planning Design Research Corporation (PDR) where she is a Business Transition Management Specialist who focuses on changes to an organization’s workplace. She studies the current needs and future forecasts of an organization, investigates desired workplace performance objectives, and delivers strategic solutions to clients to ensure that the real estate portfolio is delivering its highest value.  Kelly also leads a team that is specialized in developing and implementing Workplace Change Management for clients undergoing changes within their work place. 

Over the past 20 years Kelly has built a successful consulting practice at PDR.  Prior to joining PDR she used her talents with organizations like Exxon Company USA and the University of Houston.  She is as a Founding Member of the Association of Change Management Professionals and is certified in Prosci’s Change Management methodology and the Prosci Train-the-Trainer Program. She earned her Bachelors of Business Administration degree from the University of Houston.


Michelle Hurd, Director, Professional Development

Michelle has specialized in change and project management for strategic initiatives for 15 years. Her work includes enterprise-wide operational and IT transformations, mergers and acquisitions change management and establishing enterprise project and change management (EPM) governance. Coaching executives and business leadership through change management techniques is a favorite responsibility. She has consulted with Fortune 500 companies to startups and managed international teams, with an experience base from Accenture Consulting. Industry experience includes Healthcare, Energy and Publishing.

Continuous learning has helped Michelle throughout her career and she brings that passion to ACMP.  Michelle graduated from the college of engineering and earned an MBA from Texas A&M University. She is the recipient of the Federation of Houston Professional Women - Woman of Excellence award.   Michelle volunteers in ways to improve the leadership skills of today’s youth and enjoys the outdoors, especially water sports and rock climbing, with her family.

Bethany Schwartz, Director, Membership

Bethany, Lead Change Management Advisor for USAA, is an accomplished Change leader and practitioner with over 20 years of experience in a broad range of industries and change efforts.

With a solid grounding in Community and Organization Design from Loyola University of Chicago’s CORD program, Bethany continues to refine her repertoire of business transforming tools and technologies, integrating cutting edge methodologies, her experience and her respect for the stakeholders tasked with thriving in today’s challenging environment.  
Until moving to Texas in 2016, Bethany served as a key contributor for the recently formed ACMP NorCal. In roles of graduated responsibility, she served as a Signature Events program manager, Northern Bay Area Membership Coordinator and Board Secretary.

Bethany believes in the power of genuine connection and firmly embraces the notion that change occurs one authentically engaged person at a time.

Lanette Ferguson, Regional Director Austin

Lanette Ferguson is a Change Management Professional with 15 years in Information Technology. Talented at building rapport and networking she builds trusting relationships with key stakeholders and teams at all levels to drive successful project outcomes. She holds a Masters in Organization Development from the University of San Francisco, is PROSCI certified and is also a certified coach through the Institute for Professional Excellence in Coaching (iPEC). Her industry experience includes Staffing, Insurance, and Academia. She is a past volunteer with the Bay Area OD Network and Big Brothers Big Sisters and is a member of the ACMP Global Conference Committee. Currently living in Austin and working as an OCM Practice Architect for TEKsystems Global Services. She enjoys gardening, traveling, hiking, cooking, baking and wowing unsuspecting guests with her plant-based culinary skills. 

Maryann Heil, Regional Director North Texas

Maryann Heil is an experienced leader with an accomplished record of improving performance by breaking down the bureaucratic barriers that isolate strategy from process, pit people against technology, and undermine the value of enterprise-wide changes. This experience includes both public and private sector organizations and spans the insurance, healthcare, transportation, and oil and gas industries. Her specialties are change management, project management, business development and improvement, strategy, communication, and stakeholder relationship management. She earned an MBA from Ohio University, is certified in both change management and project management, and currently works for the country’s largest natural-gas-only distributor -- Atmos Energy Corporation, headquartered in Dallas, Texas, USA.

Natalie Arceneaux, Regional Director Houston

Natalie Arceneaux is Managing Partner at C+A Global Group, a people focused, woman-owned consultancy. Natalie has deep expertise as an organizational engagement and adoption consultant with over 17 years of experience spanning the Oil & Gas and Technology industries. She has a reputation for supporting her clients to drive towards optimal solutions, greater deficiencies, increased revenues, and shared successes. 

While working as a consultant at a Fortune 100 oil and gas services, she led a marketing team to win the Houston Business Lantern Award, bringing greater organizational cohesion to a recently acquired organization. With her formidable years of experience in organizational change management (OCM), organizational effectiveness and development, as well as cultural integration and leadership alignment, Natalie’s enthusiasm for helping people is evidenced not only by her abilities to consult, but in her willingness to roll up her sleeves and work side-by-side with all levels of people in an organization. Natalie currently is enjoying her client-side work with Entergy leading the Organizational Change Management work stream for the nuclear cyber security project.

Passionate about accountability, Natalie hosted her own weekly radio program for several years, dedicated to informing and inspiring her audience to do more related to culture, politics, and philanthropy. Natalie is a sought-after speaker at meetings, rallies, and conferences; inspiring grassroots activists to become engaged and involved in their communities and government.

Natalie’s work and positive outcomes for the individual, the community, and the organization demonstrates the roles she so proudly embraces—leader, mentor, advisor, and ultimately a catalyst for positive change.

Amanda Schmoldt, Regional Director San Antonio

Amanda Schmoldt has long career in change management, marketing and communication at USAA, Caterpillar, Archer Daniels Midland Company and the state of Illinois. She has extensive experience leading change on global transformation and operational change efforts impacting finance, supply chain, marketing, human resources and IT. She also volunteers for ACMP at the global level and is currently the 2018 Conference Committee Chair.
