Much of the literature in Change Management shows that managing change is a complex and complicated process. Missteps often happen and many efforts fail. Numerous books and articles have been written pointing to disastrous change efforts, as well as those which provide a roadmap for creating successful change. During change, the ideal is to create alignment and engagement throughout the organization. One powerful tool for creating high-performance outcomes is a Strategic Alignment Meeting. This meeting ensures that everyone understands the reasons for the change, are focused on the same outcomes, and are clear about how to work together to create the desired results.
